October is Fire Safety Month! Keep you and your family safe with the help from these home fire safety tips!
Here is a to-do list for you to do in your home:
- Install smoke and carbon monoxide alarms on every level and in every bedroom
- Test alarms regularly
- Alarms do not last forever. Remember to replace them at least every 10 years.
- Plan and practice an escape route with your family.
- Proffessinally service your furnace, dryer vent, and chimney every year according to manufactures instructions.
- If your smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave immediately for fresh air and call 9-1-1.
